Two sisters have predeceased him.

William Henry Eaton

      Went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family, at the MediLodge of Midland, Thursday, June 8, 2017. Age 86 years.

      The son of the late Esther (Dawson) and Henry Joseph Eaton was born July 2, 1930 in Lansing, Michigan.  He married Phyllis Hopper. His wife of 65 years survives him.  William served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by General Motors Corp, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a “tinkerer”, working on cars, motors and various projects.

     Surviving besides his wife, Phyllis, are three sons and their spouses, William and Kathy Eaton, Stanwood, MI; Henry and Rose Eaton, Florida; Michael and Mary Eaton, Midland, thirteen grandchildren, Billy, Brad, Brian, Tamara, Angie, Henry Jr, Brailea, Alexsandra, Matthew, Debra, Lara, Trinna and April; nine great grandchildren; five sisters, Mary, Barbara, Shirley, Wanda, Sandy and three brothers, Jim, Henry and Louis; many nieces and nephews. Two sisters have predeceased him.

     Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Midland Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3490 E. Baker Rd. Midland, MI.  Pastor Pat Legan will officiate with military honors under the auspices of the Midland Area Veteran's Group Honors Team. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the wishes of the family.
