Bob McKinley, age 91, died at Cartwright Hospice. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Bob was born in Bay City, the son of Frank and Amelia (Webster) McKinley. He graduated in 1944 from Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, MA and from Princeton University in 1950. While at Princeton he belonged to the acapella singing group the Nassoons. He served in the US Army during WWII in France and Germany. He retired from MCI Insurance in 1989. He spent summers his entire life at Pt. Lookout, Au Gres, MI, where he enjoyed tennis and golf, and spending time with his many friends. He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church in Bay City, where he sang in the choir for over 50 years and served for many years as a deacon. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Marian (Clift) McKinley, daughters Helen Cady of Bay City, Amy McKinley of Ann Arbor, and son Tom McKinley of San Francisco, CA., granddaughters Margaret and Rosemary Klauscher, Ashley Cady and Elizabeth Bourdon and great-grandchildren Raegan and Bindi Bourdon. He is also survived by his nieces Judy, Mary, and Jane McKinley and Mardy Kissick. He was preceded in death by his brother Web McKinley. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Bay City First Presbyterian Church or Bay Area Community Foundation. Special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living and at Cartwright Hospice.
