Howard Lamb

Bridgeport, Michigan

     Passed away Monday, June 18, 2017 at the Cartwright Care Center at the age of 90 years.  Howard was born May 15, 1927 in Saginaw, the son of the late Carl W. and Susan (McLeod) Lamb.  He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Sicily during WWII and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.  He served for 35 years with the Bridgeport Township Fire Department and was a member of the Bridgeport Gun Club.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends.  Howard married Donna Terrell February 14, 1946; she predeceased him February 3, 1993.  Howard and Donna owned and operated Howard Lamb Electric Company.

     He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Raymond John (RJ) Schomaker, Jr.; a grandson, Howard (Alisha) Schomaker; great-granddaughters, Kailey and Courtney; many nephews, nieces and close friends.  Besides his wife, Donna, he was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers.

     Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway.  Rev. Steve Abend will officiate with burial in Pinegrove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call at the Chapel on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and then on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
