Lloyd A. Hebert, age 90 years, died Friday, July 14, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare.  He was born to the late Raymond and Ruth (Traubenkraut) Hebert on September 1, 1926 in Bay City.  Lloyd served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII.  On Febuary 26, 1949 he married Priscilla Ball and she preceded him in death on May 16, 2006.  Lloyd was a member of St. Joseph Parish, St. Joseph Athletic Association, the Knights of Columbus Monsignor Eugene Forbes #3590, Fourth Degree K of C Bishop Murphy Assembly #0491, the Boys & Girls Club of Bay County Alumni (president for 23 years), Bay City Police Reserves for 20 years (10 years as chief), VFW Kawkawlin Post #6950, and a volunteer at Delta College athletic programs for many years.  He retired from Peet Packing Company after 33 ½ years of service.  Lloyd enjoyed fishing, watching sports, especially the Detroit Tigers.


Surviving family members include his five children:  Katherine VanSumeren of Pinconning, Lloyd A. (Kristine) Hebert Jr. of Essexville, Kenneth (Sherry) Hebert Sr., Douglas (Meagan) Hebert and Mark (Mary) Hebert all of Bay City.  Six grandchildren: Wayne (Petra) VanSumeran Jr., Cynthia VanSumeran, Lloyd A. “Chip” (Mandie) Hebert III, Lindsi Roi, Kenneth Hebert Jr., Nick Hebert and fiance Cassie Leonard; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren;  brother-in-law, Tarcy  (Helen) Wojciechowski of Florida;  sister-in-law Joan (Jerry) Leahy; several nieces and nephews.  Besides his wife Priscilla, Lloyd was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald and Richard Hebert and sister, Mary Wojciechowski.


The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Parish ( St. James Church), 710 Columbus Avenue, Bay City, MI. Lloyd will lie in state in church Wednesday after 10:00AM.  Rev. Jose Maria Cabrera will preside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Gift of Life Foundation or the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 11:00 to 8:00 PM , with the Vigil Prayer Service, K of C Council #3590 Bible Presentation and K of C #0491 Memorial  Chalice Presentation and Resolution of Condolence at 7:00 PM at the W.
