Survived By: her husband; Melvin, Sons Dale (Dianne), Larry (Karen), Jon(Mimi) , and Mike (Diane) Moening: eight grand children David, Brian(Becky), Michele(Evan), Keven(Stefhanie), Kary, Andrew, Craig(Jamie) Moening, and Tonya (Daniel)Grimm. Seven great grand –children and Sister Reva Benson. She was predeceased by brothers; Donald, John, and Keith Glassgow Sisters; Marge Sias, Jean Dowker and Dorothy Smith.

Helen (Glasgow) Moening 99 years of Midland went to be with her lord and savior on  Thursday morning, August, 10,2017. She was born on May 26, 1918 daughter of the late John and May (Engle)Glasgow on their family farm in Midland. She was 3rd oldest of 8. On June 30 1951 she married Melvin Moening.

 

Helen worked for the Dow Chemical Co., Knepps and Beckwith’s, then she found her niche in life being CEO/owner of Moening Camper Sale's for 15yr until her retirement in 1984. after retirement she spent 17 winters with her husband in Florida. They ran the Midland/Dow reunion in Zephyerhills, Fl. for 14 yrs. Helen had an intense love for her husband and 4 children which was shown daily. This carried over also to anyone she met from grand babies to friends and acquaintances. She took every chance given to go dancing and talk to fellow dancers. When not dancing she was out tending to her flowers which she took great pride in.

 

Helen is survived by her husband; Melvin, Sons Dale (Dianne), Larry (Karen), Jon(Mimi) , and Mike (Diane) Moening: eight grand children David, Brian(Becky), Michele(Evan), Keven(Stefhanie), Kary, Andrew, Craig(Jamie) Moening, and Tonya (Daniel)Grimm. Seven great grand –children and Sister Reva Benson. She was predeceased by brothers; Donald, John, and Keith Glassgow Sisters; Marge Sias, Jean Dowker and  Dorothy Smith.

 

Funeral Services for Helen will take place at 11:00 A.M. Monday August 14, 2017 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home. Burial will be Homer Twp. Cemetery.

 

Visitation for Helen will be at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home 1200 W. Wheeler St. from 4 to 7pm Sunday evening and  from 10 to 11(time of service) Monday morning.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Homer Methodist Church.
