Ronald H. Bartlett

Frankenmuth, MI

Ronald Bartlett, husband, father and loving grandfather joined his beloved wife in their heavenly home on October 9, 2017; age 83 years.  Ron was born on September 13, 1934, to Harold and Linda (Poellet) Bartlett in Saginaw, Michigan.  He retired from Delphi/Saginaw Steering Gear with over 30 years of service in accounting and engineering.  After retirement, Ron was a founding partner of Professional Technologies, a services firm providing contract employment opportunities in the Saginaw Valley for 20 years.  In his spare time, Ron could also be found managing the books for wife Eunice’s Needlepointe/Attic gift shop in Frankenmuth.

Ron and Eunice were Arthur Hill High School sweethearts and enjoyed 62 years of marriage.  She predeceased him in 2016.   Ron and Eunice enjoyed winters in Palm Springs and traveled the world together during the course of their “retirement” jobs.  Ron enjoyed the Saginaw Valley Antique Auto Club, collecting as many as a dozen antique vehicles.  He was also active in the Frankenmuth Lions Club, the Antique Warehouse in Saginaw, and St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  Through the grace of God, Ron survived over 41 years with a major heart condition.  His initial surgery, radical at the time, was featured in the Frankenmuth News in June 1977.  Children living near Ron and Eunice enjoyed an extra set of grandparents.

Ronald is survived by his children, Brian (Kathleen) Bartlett and Sarah (Brian) Gedraitis, and grandchildren, Nicole and Jordon Gedraitis, and Alex and Rebecca Bartlett.  A special sister-in-law, Janet Phillips of Frankenmuth, also survives him.  Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Gerald.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1032 W. Tuscola St., Frankenmuth, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Rev. Caleb Adams will officiate.  Cremation has taken place.  Ronald’s family will hold a reception and celebration of life at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St., on Sunday, October 15, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.  Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at
