Lorenzo beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Linwood Residence Assisted Living at the age of 94. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 16, 1923 to the late Henry & Hattie (Rittenberg) LaBrosse. He married the love of his life, Katheleen Eva Scheer on April 10, 1948 at Hope Lutheran Church in Rhodes, Michigan. She survives him. Larry retired from the US Air Force with 221/2 years of service and served in WWII and the Korean War. He was also a part of the 95th Bomb Group, 8th USAAF. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church (St. Anne Campus) for numerous years and was also a member of the American Legion, VFW and the DAV. Larry enjoyed farming and woodworking after his retirement. Surviving besides his wife of 69 years are their 8 children; Donald (Shirley) LaBrosse, Robert (Patty) LaBrosse, Carol LaBrosse, Mary (Larry) Traxler, Michael LaBrosse and friend, Tammy Debusschere, Eileen (Dale Jr.) Monroe, Mark (Dominque) LaBrosse, and Joseph (Athena) LaBrosse, 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, his sister, Marion (LaBrosse) Lucke. He was predeceased by his stepmother Cecilia (Monsion) Martin, a grandson John LaBrosse, two brothers and their wives, Harold and Billy LaBrosse, James and Victoria LaBrosse, father in law, John Scheer and mother in law Theresa (Schussler) Scheer.

 

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11 am from Prince of Peace Parish-St. Anne Campus with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Coffaro and Deacon Michael Arnold presiding with burial in St. Anne Cemetery with full military funeral honors. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Thursday, from 1 to 8 pm. A Prayer Vigil will be held Thursday, at 7 pm. On Friday, Larry will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of service. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Linwood residence and their staff for all the compassion given to Larry and his family.
