Survived By: his three sons Troy (Chris) Reinert, Daniel (Jodi) Reinert and Mitchell Reinert, grandchildren, Bryce, Collin, Allison, Kylee, Abby and Ben Reinert, brother, Art (Wanda) Reinert, sister, Leona (Glenn) Doud and sisters-in-law, Barb Reinert, Sue (John) Beythan, and brother-in-law, Jim (Natalie) Meyerhuber, and many nieces and nephews.

Norman B. Reinert, 72, of Frankenmuth, died early Monday morning, November 27, 2017 at MediLodge in Frankenmuth. He was born January 28, 1945 in Saginaw, son of the late Carl and Beatrice (Koch) Reinert. Norman was a 1963 graduate of Vassar High School. On July 1, 1967 he married the former Catherine Meyerhuber in the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville. She predeceased him January 5, 2005. Mr. Reinert was employed as a Machinist at Saginaw Machine Systems for thirty-five years before his retirement. He was alife-long member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville and both the Frankenmuth and Richville Conservation Clubs. Norm was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Frankenmuth-Vassar Bowling Association Hall of Fame. His favorite hobby was hunting and being at his hunting property at Albright Shores. 

 

Surviving are his three sons Troy (Chris) Reinert, Daniel (Jodi) Reinert and Mitchell Reinert, grandchildren, Bryce, Collin, Allison, Kylee, Abby and Ben Reinert, brother, Art (Wanda) Reinert, sister, Leona (Glenn) Doud and sisters-in-law, Barb Reinert, Sue (John) Beythan, and brother-in-law, Jim (Natalie) Meyerhuber, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife Catherine, Norman was predeceased by his daughter, Jacqueline Reinert, brother and sister-in-law, Arnold “Chip” Reinert and Carolyn Reinert and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Edna Meyerhuber.

 

Cremation has taken place and Memorial Service to celebrate his life will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 from St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville. Reverend Rob Gadeken and Reverend Wesley Gillaspie will both officiate with inurnment to follow in the St. Michael’s Cemetery. Mr. Reinert’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.
