Survived By: his wife Linda of Midland, daughter Julie (Anthony) Wilcox of South Bend, IN and daughter-in-law Amy Kellogg of Sanford; grandchildren Ethan Wilcox, Emily and Ryan Kellogg.
Affiliations: He was the Lee Township Supervisor and went on to become the Lee Township Assessor while also serving as the Midland Township Assessor. Bert also held a seat on the Lee Township Planning Commission and served on the board of the West Midland Family Center.

Bert Laurance Kellogg, 85, of Midland, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his home. He was born June 17, 1932 in Midland, son of the late Claude and Lillian (Poole) Kellogg. On October 22, 1966, he married the former Linda Roe. She survives him. Bert had been employed as an Analytical Tech with the Dow Chemical Company for over 40 years. He was the Lee Township Supervisor and went on to become the Lee Township Assessor while also serving as the Midland Township Assessor. Bert also held a seat on the Lee Township Planning Commission and served on the board of the West Midland Family Center. 

 

He is survived by his wife Linda of Midland, daughter Julie (Anthony) Wilcox of South Bend, IN and daughter-in-law Amy Kellogg of Sanford; grandchildren Ethan Wilcox, Emily and Ryan Kellogg. In addition to his parents, Bert was preceded in death by his son James Kellogg on January 26, 2015 and five sisters Jan Gray, Dorothy Williams, Peg Ireland, Merrie Huckins, and Muriel Kellogg.

 

Funeral services for Bert will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 from the Faith Wesleyan Church, 654 S. Meridian Rd. with Pastors Dennis Currel and Jim Jordan officiating. His family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home on Friday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hometown Hospice or the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.
