Marlene Helen Wallace [Ulfig], age 72, of Cass City died Saturday, December 2, 2017 with her loving family beside her at United Hospice Residence in Marlette.

Marlene was born April 26, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Ray and Helen Ulfig.  
She later married Jack Duane Wallace on September 24, 1966 in Cass City.  They were married for 42 wonderful years.  Marlene graduated from Cass City High School, and attended Delta College for 2 years.  After a few years in the Metro Area, she and Jack returned to Cass City to operate an Adult Foster Care Home for 15 years.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, going out for lunch, and shopping.  She was avid watcher of sports, especially the Tigers, Red Wings, and NASCAR.   She loved watching Christmas movies, spending time with her grandchildren, and loved ones.  She was a member and attended at least one daily Mass at Our Lady of Consolata Parish.  

Marlene is survived by her children: Jeff Wallace of Cass City, Debra Hool of Cass City, brother: Danny (Peggy) Ulfig of Cass City, grandchildren: Justin, Christopher, Korey, Halie, Tyler, sister & brother in-laws: Bea Wallace of Owosso, Alfred (Charlie) Wallace of Cass City, Jim Mayfield of Decker, Marilyn Ziemba of Decker, Arnold (Sharon) Erla of Cass City, Carol Hartman of Cass City.   She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents, and husband Jack, grand-daughter Ashley, brother Norman, brother in-law’s: Leonard Ziemba, and Robert Wallace, sister in-law: Beverly Mayfield, niece Lexi Ulfig.  

Cremation has taken place and Celebratory Mass will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2017  at Our Lady of Consolata Parish in Cass City, where friends may visit 9:30 AM till the time of Mass.   Father Christian Tabares celebrant.
Marlene’s cremains will be interred in Elkland Township Cemetery.
