Survived By: his wife and soulmate Tammy and their beloved dog Buddy, daughter Lisa Lieb of Rockford, IL, grandson Brandon Dominguez, brother Stephen (Rose) Mistovich of Milton FL, sister Mary Pagan of Metairie, LA, Stephanie Mistovich of Milton FL, stepbrother Michael Koenig of Milton FL, and stepmother Shirley Mistovich of Milton FL. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law William Smith of Orange Park FL, David Smith of Midland, MI, sisters-in-law Judy (Robyn) Gransden of Ocoee FL, Mary (Mike) Gransden of South Lyon, MI, and many nieces and Nephews.

Our beloved John Mistovich followed the lord home December 18, 2017, after a short battle with cancer.  John was born November 14, 1959 in Milton, FL. John made Beaverton, Michigan his home over thirty years ago. John served in the Army before becoming a machinist for many years. John was also a painter.  John enjoyed anything outdoors, any kind of car racing, football, and spending time with his family. John leaves behind his wife and soulmate Tammy and their beloved dog Buddy, daughter Lisa Lieb of Rockford, IL, grandson Brandon Dominguez, brother Stephen (Rose) Mistovich of Milton FL, sister Mary Pagan of Metairie, LA, Stephanie Mistovich of Milton FL, stepbrother Michael Koenig of Milton FL, and stepmother Shirley Mistovich of Milton FL.  He is also survived by his brothers-in-law William Smith of Orange Park FL, David Smith of Midland, MI, sisters-in-law Judy (Robyn) Gransden of Ocoee FL, Mary (Mike) Gransden of South Lyon, MI, and many nieces and Nephews.  John was welcomed with open arms by his father Stephen Mistovich, sister Catherine Francel, father-in-law Raymond Gransden, mother in-law Ruthe Gransden, brothers in-law Ricky Smith, Louie Smith, and sister-in-law Cheryl York.   

 

Funeral services for John will take place 1 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St. Chaplain Roger Stauffer will officiate with burial to follow in Midland Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Full Military Honors will be presented by the Midland Area Veterans and the United States Army.
