Clarence was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhea Ann Matherne, grandsons, Kevin Blake, Bernard Callahan Jr. and Jeffery Callahan, a sister, Betty Brandt and a daughter-in-law, Sarah Richard.

Son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Wiegand) Richard, Clarence was born April 1, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Rhea M. Otis, his loving wife of 73 years on September 2, 1944. She survives him. Clarence was a bricklayer at Boettcher Masonry for over 55 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith. Clarence enjoyed watching football and boxing with his boys and the casino.

 Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Age 95 years. Son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Wiegand) Richard, Clarence was born April 1, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Rhea M. Otis, his loving wife of 73 years on September 2, 1944.    Funeral Service will take place 12:00 noon Friday, January 5, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
