(Vince) Anderson of Midland; grandchildren, Nichole (Anthony) Iacovoni of Livonia, Stacey Bullard and her fiancée Alex Hopp of Austin, Texas, Colin M.B. (Kaely) Hopkins serving with the US Navy in Port Hueneme, California, Paige Anderson of Midland, and Katrina Anderson of Midland.
Affiliations: Ed worked for CSX Railroad for over thirty years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Midland Elks Lodge 1610, and a member of the Community of Christ Church.

Edward H. Bullard, 82, was surrounded by the love of his family when he died Monday morning,  January 1, 2018 at his home in Midland.  He was born December 24, 1935 in Isabella County, the twelfth child of the late Roy D. and Halliette K. (Shanahan) Bullard.  He graduated from Mt. Pleasant  High School, and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for four years.  On September 3, 1960 he married the former Mary Ellen Mogg in Coleman.  Ed worked for CSX Railroad for over thirty years, retiring in 2001.  He was a member of the Midland Elks Lodge 1610, and a member of the Community of Christ Church.  Ed was a generous and loving man who enjoyed shopping and loved his grandchildren.

 

He will be missed by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary Ellen; children, Ed (Jerilyn) Bullard of Midland, and Gina M. (Vince) Anderson of Midland; grandchildren, Nichole (Anthony) Iacovoni of Livonia, Stacey Bullard and her fiancée Alex Hopp of Austin, Texas, Colin M.B. (Kaely) Hopkins serving with the US Navy in Port Hueneme, California,  Paige Anderson of Midland, and Katrina Anderson of Midland.  He was preceded in death by seven brothers, and four sisters.

 

Funeral services for Ed will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street.  Seventy Donald J. Studebaker will officiate, with burial at a later date in Midland Cemetery.  Ed’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Community of Christ Church, Midland or Sanford branch, or the American Heart Association.
