RONALD JAMES LEWICKI

Ronald J. Lewicki, 54, of Dryden died Tuesday morning January 2, 2018 in his home after a battle with cancer.  He was born March 3, 1963 in Caro to Edward and Anna (Buniack-Kupiec) Lewicki.  He married Wendy Houdeshell December 14, 2012 in Macomb County. 

Ron attended Michigan State University and received the distinction of journeyman vehicle builder.  He worked for Truck and Bus of Pontiac and later for GM Truck in Flint.  Ron assisted the Warren Tech Center with engineering projects.    His last assignment was with Lake Orion Assembly working in the autonomous vehicle department.  Ron enjoyed playing golf and fishing with family and friends.  He loved sailing, particularly yacht racing from Port Huron to Mackinaw and riding ATVs.

 Ron is survived by his wife Wendy; sons:  Andrew Lewicki of Lake Orion; Jason (Valerie) Lewicki of Lapeer; Vincent Vasquez of Dryden; daughter, Marissa Vasquez of Dearborn; his mother, Anna Lewicki of Kingston; brothers:  David (Gail) Lewicki of Phoenix, AZ; Daniel (Araceli) Lewicki of Rockford; Thomas (Deborah) Lewicki of Rockford; William Kupiec of Kingston; sisters:  Patricia Tomaszewski of Caro; Marjorie Biebel of Caro; his best friend, Tom (Dee) Schulte of St. Clair.  He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lewicki.

Visitation held 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston.  Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Wilmot.  Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.  Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
