Ellen Lucille Larzelere

December 26, 1917 – February 25, 2018

Ellen L. Larzelere, 100, Standish, MI, passed away February 25, 2018 at Horizon Senior Living, Standish with family at her side.

Ellen was born December 26, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan to August and Ida (Spietz) Miller.  She married James Albert Larzelere on October 5, 1962 in East Tawas, Michigan.

Ellen along with her husband (Jim) owned and operated a fruit orchard, chicken and egg farm in Twining, Mi.  They not only sold many types of fruit and pressed their own apple cider in the Fall, but the chickens produced enough eggs that Ellen and Jim had a route to sell the eggs locally from Tawas to Twining.  Ellen was a Sunday school teacher and a life member of the Eastern Star East Tawas chapter.

Ellen is survived by twenty-two loving nieces and nephews including Monte and Ruth (Kopaczewski) Gulvas of Standish, MI.

She is preceded in death by her husband and step daughter, her parents and seven siblings, Adelbert Miller, Vivian Kauffman, Kathleen Engel, Mae Kopaczewski, Shirley Stec, Paul Miller and Daniel Miller.

Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 am. until the time of the service at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Chapel

Funeral services for Ellen will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Chapel, Standish.
