Survived By: Surviving besides his wife Diane are four children; Stacy (Andrew) Sharrow; Aaron (Erin) Maturen, Jena Maturen and Tyler Maturen; his step children, Robb (Amber) Pyman, Thomas (Megan) Pyman; two granddaughters, Alexa and Hailey Sharrow; six step-grandchildren, Izach, Josiah, Elizabeth and Brooklyn, Nevaeh Jamino and Michaela Northouse; two sisters and one brother, Jody Maturen and her husband, Alain Clifford, William (Amy) Maturen and Andrea (Keegan) Schlake; his father-in-law, William C. Fink; mother-in-law, Suzanne Cooper; his step-mother, Marlene Maturen; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Jennifer) Cooper, Jill Cooper, Donn (Alice) Fink and Jon (Susan) Fink; several nieces and nephews.

 Beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his home. Age 55 years. The son of Beverly (Stanton) Maturen and the late William Maturen Jr., Gary was born on October 7, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Tamera Cooper on June 9, 1984. She predeceased him on February 22, 2013. He then married Diane Pyman on June 14, 2014. She survives him. Gary was employed at Centennial Technologies. He was a member of Moose Lodge and was a long time member and usher of First United Methodist Church. Gary was an avid sportsman, including bowling, baseball and golf and also coached soccer and floor hockey. Gary was very involved in his children’s activities and was a former Cub Scout Den Leader and participated in Boy Scouts and robotic teams. Gary was a proud blood donor and had received his 5 gallon award.

Fink; mother-in-law, Suzanne Cooper; his step-mother, Marlene Maturen; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Jennifer) Cooper, Jill Cooper, Donn (Alice) Fink and Jon (Susan) Fink; several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Rd. Pastor Amy Terhune will officiate with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Elf Khurafeh Shriners Hospital or First United Methodist Church.
