Scott William Sierko, age 57, was brought home to the Lord on March 2, 2018 following a long-standing illness.  He was surrounded by his wife and children.  Scott was born to the late William and Lynette (Gibbs) Sierko on September 27, 1960 in Standish, Michigan.


He is survived by his wife, MaryJo (Maida), children Nicholas (Salina) and Courtney (Wes) Seidel, a grandson Jacob Seidel, his brothers Dennis (April), Mark (Leslie), and sister Stacy (Wayne) Setlak, along with many other loving relatives.


In his younger years, Scott was a commercial painter by trade and worked for Local Union 1803. He also loved fishing and the outdoors.  He served in the United States Army / National Guard and fought for the United States in Operation Desert Storm.  Favorites of his were watching NASCAR, Family Feud and the Detroit Lions/Tigers. Most of all, Scott looked forward and enjoyed spending time with his family, snacking on his favorite candy and sneaking some to his grandson.  His family would like to express their thanks to Covenant Visiting Nurses Association hospice staff for their care, compassion and making it possible to fulfill his wish.


It was his wish for cremation to take place. A Memorial Mass will take place on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Holy Trinity Parish-Pinconning, with Rev. Fr. Jim Carlson and Deacon Gary Patelski presiding. On Monday, family and friends may pay their respects 9:30 am until time of service.
