Survived By: Surviving are two children, Rebecca (boyfriend, Sean) Hart-Howell and Craig S. Howell II, two grandchildren and one on the way, Taylor Thompson and Ryleigh Howell, two brothers, Phillip Howell II and Michael D. (Deborah) Howell, many nieces and nephews, longtime special friend, Mary (Luna) Lara and lifetime best friend Curt Cornelius. Craig was predeceased by his father Phillip Howell, Sr. and his brother Mark Howell.
Affiliations: He graduated from Bay City Central High School and join the US Army to serve his country to the best of his ability. After his time the Army he worked various jobs including Monitor Sugar and at City Hall in the maintenance department. Those of you who knew Craig, knew he was a huge sports fan. He would even miss the occasional family function to watch his Detroit Tigers, Lions and Michigan or Michigan State games.

     Our beloved father, grandfather, son, brother and longtime companion passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region, age 59.  Craig was born January 17, 1959 in Bay City to Phillip and Dolores (Sangster) Howell, Sr.  He graduated from Bay City Central High School and join the US Army to serve his country to the best of his ability.  After his time the Army he worked various jobs including Monitor Sugar and at City Hall in the maintenance department.  Those of you who knew Craig, knew he was a huge sports fan.  He would even miss the occasional family function to watch his Detroit Tigers, Lions and Michigan or Michigan State games.

     The Funeral Service for Craig will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Ambrose Funeral Home.  Pastor Joe Atchinson will officiate and interment will follow in Elm Lawn Cemetery, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Honor Guard.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Family Wishes.”  www.ambrosefuneralchapel.com
