Survived By: Jean is survived by his wife Kathleen, sons, Daniel Bourcier, Milford; James (Lisa) Bourcier, Hemlock; Thomas Bourcier, Saginaw; daughter, Kathy (Todd) Lappin, Banner Elk, North Carolina; grandsons, Brian (Brooke) Bourcier, Joseph and Michael Bourcier, Winter, Rye, Willem and Beau Hawley-Bourcier and Bennett Lappin; a great-granddaughter, Brae Bourcier; godson, John Smillie.
Affiliations: The son of the late Maurice and Germaine (Sauve) Bourcier, Jean was born May 31, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from St. Andrew High School in 1956. Following graduation, Jean served two years in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California. He married Kathleen M. Robbins on November 28, 1959 and they recently celebrated 58 years of marriage. Jean attended Bay City Junior College and graduated from Saginaw Valley State College in 1974 where he earned the Bachelors of Arts Degree. Jean was employed in personnel and as a supervisor in various departments at General Motors, Central Foundry Grey Iron for 29 years until his retirement in 1991. He then served as employment manager for William A. Kibbe & Associates for nine years. He was a past member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Council #4232, the CMFT GM Salaried Retiree's Club and American Legion Post #439. For over 40 years, Jean enjoyed playing golf, fishing, especially at Drummond Island, his hunting trips at Smillie's Honeymoon Cabins and The Lodge in the Upper Peninsula.

 Jean Edward Bourcier passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at St. Francis Home. Age 79 years. The son of the late Maurice and Germaine (Sauve) Bourcier, Jean was born May 31, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from St. Andrew High School in 1956.  Honoring Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Thai Nguyen will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Lewy Body Dementia Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
