(Heather) Allen, Amy (Jeramie) Novak, Kristy (Tony) Brumar, and Andrew (Leeann) Allen; thirteen great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Virginia Woods of Standish; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Frederic D. Allen, 88, of Standish, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Nathan's Place Assisted Living in Flint.  Frederic was born on March 6, 1930 in AuGres to Carl and Hazel (Saunders) Allen.  He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Upon his honorable discharge from the military, Frederic went to work for Fisher Body Division in Flint.  He worked in the production department at Fisher Body for 30 years, until his retirement.  Frederic will be remembered as a hard-working, humble man, who absolutely loved and cherished his family.  He had a passion for the outdoors, and truly enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He married his wife, and best friend, Lila L. (Dewald) Allen on June 1, 1951 in Standish.  They celebrated 66 beautiful years of marriage until Lila's passing in October of 2017.  Frederic also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty and Vera; and 3 brothers, Hollis, Frank, and Sandy.  He is survived by 3 children, Steven (Sheila) Allen, Linda (James) Fica, and David (Pamela) Allen; 7 grandchildren, Tammy (Robert) Gustincic, Steven (Rocia) Allen Jr., Kerry (Dan) Willett, Scott D. (Heather) Allen, Amy (Jeramie) Novak, Kristy (Tony) Brumar, and Andrew (Leeann) Allen; thirteen great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Virginia Woods of Standish; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  Per his wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of his life through a memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 206 North Court Street, AuGres, MI. 48703.  Pastor Fred Cordts will officiate the ceremony.  His family will welcome friends at the church Satruday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A burial with military honors will take place in the Linwood Cemetery in AuGres immediately following the memorial service.  An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
