Andrew J. Trombley, age 93 years, died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Shattuck Manor.  He was born on November 5, 1924, the son of the late Andrew and Rose (DuRussel) Trombley. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  On September 27, 1947, Andrew married Irene Gwizdala and she preceded him in death in 2004. Andrew was a member of All Saints Parish (St. James Church) and the K of C Council #414. He retired from General Motors after 39 ½ years of service.  Andrew enjoyed playing Euchre, gardening, farming and spending time with his family.

 

Surviving Andrew are his five children:  Eugene A. (Joyce) Trombley of Southport, NC. (and their children, Aaron, Alicia, Amber and Adrienne), Terence L. Trombley of Bay City, Thomas E. (Denise DesJardin) Trombley of Saginaw Township, Anne Charbonneau of Linwood (and their children, Andrew, Amy, Angie) and Randall P. (Susan) Trombley of Commerce, MI (and their sons, Andrew and Thomas); brother Arthur Trombley; sister-in-law, Corinne Trombley; many nieces and nephews.  Andrew was preceded in death by his wife Irene; son-in-law, Randy Charbonneau; brothers, Lawrence “Oz” Trombley and James Trombley; sisters, Helen (Woodrow) Solgat, Margaret (Alex) Wazny and Grace (Jack) Stefanski.

 

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, March 12 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Parish (St. James Church), 710 Columbus Avenue, Bay City, MI.  Andrew will lie in state in the church Monday after 10:00 AM.  Rev. Jose Maria Cabrera will preside and private interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to “family wishes”.  Visiting hours are Sunday, March 11, 2018  from 2:00 to 8:00 PM in the W.
