Vera Kindy

On March 10, 2018, with the love of family surrounding her, Vera Kindy, Midland, MI, went home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

Vera was born to William & Anna Neuhauser, March 1, 1929, in Pigeon, MI.  She finished 8th grade and later earned her GED while working to help supplement her parent’s income.  Afterward she studied Elementary Education at Eastern Mennonite College.

On April 3, 1954 she married Virgil Kindy of Midland and they were blessed with seven children, Joyce (Courtney) Miller, Carol (Tom) Veatch, Rose (Ken) Vasquez, James (Shelly Jo) Kindy, Melody Carlock, Jerry (Dawn) Kindy, and Kevin (Kathy Jo) Kindy. They loved their children, 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and their spouses.  She was a wonderful loving mother and made it her mission to train her children in the ways of God and to earnestly seek Him.   Her husband, Virgil, daughter Joyce, parents, siblings: John Neuhauser, Catherine Baer, and Irene Riegsecker, preceded her in death.

Vera was a longtime member of the now New Hope Community Church and enjoyed showing the Love of Jesus through, making quilts, teaching Sunday School, summer Bible School and making food for church events.  She excelled at cooking, gardening.  She strived to show the love of Jesus and it was evident even in the last days of her life.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 16, 2018 at New Hope Community Church with Rev. Don Duford officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, March 15th from 4-8 pm and on Friday at Noon until the time of service.  Burial will take place at Poseyville Cemetery.
