Ronald Libbrecht, 57, beloved husband, dad, brother, passed away peacefully at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland March 9, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ron was born November 14, 1960, in Boston, Massachusetts to George and Barbara (Gennette) Libbrecht. He married the former Debra Eckstein on October 17, 1992, at Dow Gardens in Midland. She survives him. He is also survived by his daughter Tanya; brothers Wayne (Edith) Libbrecht, Neil (Cheri) Libbrecht, Kurt (Karyn) Libbrecht; father-in-law Jack Eckstein; sisters-in-law Tammy (Russ) Miller, Barb (Chuck) Stube; also many adored nieces and nephews.

Ron was currently employed by Stone Transport of Saginaw. He had been employed there for over a decade and enjoyed driving his big truck. He had previously been employed by 3-S Construction of Midland for several years. Many life-long friends were made during his time working on the construction crew.  

Ron had been a loyal member of the Estey Moose Lodge since 1984. He was the last serving constable for Bentley Township.

Ron enjoyed watching and attending the Detroit Tiger’s games, photography, fishing, working with heavy machinery, tending to his yearly garden, Canada trips, visiting with friends, and especially spending time with his family.

Ron was predeceased by his father George Libbrecht, brother Wade Libbrecht, nephew Wade Libbrecht, mother-in-law Ruth Eckstein, and brother-in-law Ted Kraska.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 11 am from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Bauer presiding with burial in Bentley Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 3 to 8 pm and Saturday, from 10 am until time of service.
