Survived By: Surviving besides his wife Elizabeth are two sons, Chris Draus and his wife Chris Draus, Fort Worth, Texas; Brian (Stephanie) Draus, Lake Orion, Michigan; two grandchildren, Courtney and Krystal Draus; several nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Walter Draus.
Affiliations: The son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Brach) Draus, Raymond was born December 24, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post #439. Raymond married Elizabeth A. Chomas on June 19, 1954. She survives him. Ray was employed by Buick for 10 years and Saginaw Steering Gear for 29 years retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish, Knights of Columbus Council #4232, Brothers of Kosciuszko Pulaski Club, Loyal Order of the Moose and U.A.W. Local #599. Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, word working and was a natural at fixing and building things. Most of all, Ray loved spending time with his family.

 Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 88 years. The son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Brach) Draus, Raymond was born December 24, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois.  Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at St. John Paul II Parish, St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. James Bessert will officiate. At the conclusion of Liturgy, military honors will be presented by the U.S. Army. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Pinconning, Michigan. Friends may call at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Josaphat Catholic Church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday and a Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Arthritis Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
