Ashlyn Elise Simmons, infant daughter of Eric J. and Jordan E. (Kotrba) Simmons died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at her home in Brighton, MI.  She was born on July 25, 2009 in Commerce Twp., MI.

     In addition to her parents, she is survived by her twin sister, Kendel Elizabeth; grandparents: Scott and Kimberly Kotrba and Gloria Simmons-Stout; great-grandparents: Allen and Kathleen Vink, Robert and Donna Kotrba, and Ruth Simmons; her aunts and uncles: Kelly Simmons, Robin Mentzer, Bradley and Benjamin Kotrba; and her cousin, Brandy Mentzer.  Ashlyn was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Simmons.

     The Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 24, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the St. Patrick Cemetery Chapel.  Rev. Patrick C. O’Connor will preside.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Ronald McDonald House of Detroit.  Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel.
