ADA F. KARG, age 100 of Harbor Beach, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at Huron Medical Center, under hospice care. She was born on January 22, 1918 in Palms to the late Ernest and Elva (Teeple) Thayer. Ada and Harry Karg were united in marriage on November 6, 1937 in Deckerville. Together they farmed for many years. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2003. Ada was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Harbor Beach. She was also a member of the Port Hope Retirees, the Quilter’s Club, Ladies Aide, and Farm Bureau. Ada loved to travel, quilting, embroidering, gardening, flowers, farming, cooking and baking. She truly enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Keith Karg of Harbor Beach, Elaine (Larry) Krueger of Southfield, Fred (Kathy) Karg of Harbor Beach, 12 grandchildren: Bonnie (Dave) Mroczek, Kelly (Larry Buckfire) Krueger, Cherie (Jim) Goretski, Robert Karg (Kat Jones), Philip Krueger, Kristina (Norman) Beauchamp, Pamela (Scott) Shaw, Matthew (Debbie) Krueger, Michelle (Chuck) White, Heather (Don) Engelhart, Aaron (Erica) Karg, Andy (Jess) Karg, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Karen Karg of Bad Axe, and her sister Greta Kerr of Deckerville. Ada was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Karg, daughter-in-law Marilyn Karg, and her siblings: Cletus Thayer, Amy Smith and Nina Tanton. Funeral Services for Ada will be Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. Ron Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Ada will be on Monday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A scripture service will take place Monday at 7 pm at the funeral home. The Family of Ada would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful care she received from the staff at Meadow Lane Assisted Living and Huron Medical Center.
