Frontiera, Genoa, Ohio; Cheryl and Patrick MacDonald, Sallisaw, Oklahoma; Frieda A. and Brian Ballinger, DeWitt; 13 granddaughters; one grandson; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Peter Frontiera, Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers, Josephine Stumpo, Jennette Bosco, Mary, Bert, William and Michael Frontiera.

The son of the late Jasper and Mary (Adragna) Frontiera, James was born July 30, 1920 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II and was a member of V.F.W. Post #9809. He married Frieda M. Koch on July 25, 1942. She predeceased him May 2, 2003. James was employed at Eaton Manufacturing as a machinist retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #4232 and the Sons of Italy. James loved to fish, bartend, dance, cars, travel and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

 Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his home. Age 97 years. The son of the late Jasper and Mary (Adragna) Frontiera, James was born July 30, 1920 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II and was a member of V.F.W. Post #9809. He married Frieda M. Koch on July 25, 1942. She predeceased him May 2, 2003. James was employed at Eaton Manufacturing as a machinist retiring in 1981.  Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Road in Saginaw. Rev. Fr. William Rutkowski will officiate. Entombment will take place in St. Andrew Mausoleum with military honors will be presented by the U.S. Army. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. and at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Vigil Service, led by Sister Janet Pewoski, CSJ, will take place 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #4232 or the Sons of Italy Scholarship Fund.
