Gary T. “Sparky” Krzyzaniak

Linwood, Michigan

Gary T. “Sparky” Krzyzaniak, age 60, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Friday, May 4, 2018.  Gary was born on December 15, 1957 to Clarence “Tiny” and the late Mary (Sanak) Krzyzaniak. He was a graduate of Pinconning High School Class of 1976.  Gary worked alongside of his father and brother, Dave at Tiny’s Welding & Machine Shop in Linwood.  He was welding by the age of 14 years old, earning the nickname “Sparky.”  Gary was a hard worker and an especially talented welder and fabricator.

In the mid 1970’s he was a middleweight boxer with the Golden Gloves.  Gary was good hearted he’d give the shirt off his back, but could be fierce when it came to fist fights.  He enjoyed gardening growing giant sunflowers and giving away pumpkins from his pumpkin patch. He was a lover of cats and dogs.

Gary carried the grief of his brother, Mark and his mother deeply. Then with the recent loss of his brother Dave his grief became too hard to bear. He is now at peace, reunited with his mother and two brothers.  Gary is survived by his son Shawn (Carrie) Protasiewicz, 4 grandchildren; Paige, Hayden, Trent and Kelsey, his father Clarence “Tiny”, sisters Kathy and Karen, nieces, nephews, and many extended relatives. As per Gary’s wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home.

In memory of Gary you may make donations to the Bay or Midland Humane Shelters or do a kind deed for someone in need. Gary’s family would like to thank all those (friends, farmers, relatives, neighbors and welding shop customers) who would bring home cooked meals & sweet treats, drop off groceries, kept Gary in your prayers and those that kept a watchful eye on Gary. Your kindness and compassion did not go unnoticed nor will be forgotten, Bless you all.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.  All these things are gone forever.” Rev. 21-4 NLT
