Nancy Ann Moulthrop

Nancy Ann Moulthrop was born in Bay City, MI on October 31, 1945 to the late Harold and Cecelia (Reynolds) DeWyse.  She passed away May 30, 2018 at her home with her family at her side. 

Her husband, Charles S. Moulthrop, Jr., preceded her in death on May 15, 2013.

She will be remembered both for her generosity to humankind, and her passion to see the world through travel.  She lived more in the nine weeks from the cancer diagnosis than most people do in a lifetime.  Nancy was true to herself and had no regrets.

Nancy is survived by her daughters: Dawn (Sean) Moulthrop-Brady and Heather Moulthrop, her grandchildren: Madden and Moria Brady, a brother John (Pat) DeWyse and a sister Colleen (John) Klass, a sister-in-law Shirley (Bill) Stange and multiple nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  Also left to cherish her memory are her step children: Jodi (George) Meekins, Cynthia Waliser and Charlie (Terresa) Moulthrop III. She was preceded in death by a brother Harold “Mike” DeWyse.

She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, West Branch where she served on the Altar Guild and was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Bay City.

Nancy was a member of Tawas Bay Chapter No. 71 and a Past Worthy Matron and served as the Grand Representative to Tennessee; a member of Madison Court No. 11, Order of the Amaranth serving as Royal Matron 1988-1989 and as Grand Royal Matron 1998-1999.  She was a member of the Anne Frisby Fitzhugh-Saginaw Chapter NSDAR and the Daughters of the Nile.  She also served as a Senior Leader in the Girl Scouts.  For over 42 years, Nancy was a sales Consultant for Tupperware, having a client base of over 1000.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Trinity Episcopal Church in West Branch at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Brian Chace will officiate.  Private burial will be at the Boutell Ranch Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home.  She will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the service begins.  Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church in West Branch or Bay City or to a charity of the donors choosing.
