Survived By: She is survived by her son, Michael Herrington of Bad Axe and daughter, Mary Kay (Donald) Vargo of St. Clair Shores, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Affiliations: She was past president of Huron Medical Hospital Auxiliary, and past president of the Huron County Medical Society. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she enjoyed being a Eucharistic Minister and a minister to Huron County Medical Facility.

Patricia Herrington, age 88, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018, with family at her side.

Patricia was born in Flint, MI, on January 20, 1930, daughter of the late Murray and Florence (Brink) Herriman. She moved with her parents to Bad Axe in 1938. Pat graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School and then Bad Axe High School. She then attended the University of Michigan School of Dental Hygiene. She practiced dental hygiene for 15 years. She married Kenneth Burnell Herrington in 1952 and managed her husband’s medical office for 18 years. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2000.

She was past president of Huron Medical Hospital Auxiliary, and past president of the Huron County Medical Society. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she enjoyed being a Eucharistic Minister and a minister to Huron County Medical Facility.

She is survived by her son, Michael Herrington of Bad Axe and daughter, Mary Kay (Donald) Vargo of St. Clair Shores, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Florence Herriman and her sister, Mary Lou Langeway.

Memorials may be offered to Sacred Heart Food Pantry and the Bad Axe Public Library.

Services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11 am at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Fr. Rob Howe. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 3 – 8 pm or Friday from 10 am until the service time at 11 am.
