Genevieve M. Schroeder, 78, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2018 at Meadow Lane Assisted Living under Heartland Hospice care.

                        

Genevieve was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan on June 1, 1940 to the late Harry and Marian (Newiski) Mausolf. 

 

On August 6, 1960, she married the love of her life, Robert J. Schroeder.   He preceded her in death on July 27, 2017.

 

Genevieve was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church/St. Hubert Parish.   She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, cooking from her many recipe books and camping.

 

She is survived by her son, Randy Schroeder and his wife, Marcy, of Bad Axe; her daughter, Brenda Baldner and her husband, Brad, of Birmingham, Debbie Heilig and her husband, Tony, of Commerce and Kathy Burkhard and her husband, Harry, of Saginaw; her grandchildren: Amy, Jason, Harley, Christine, Jonathan, Kim, Shawn,  Brooke and  Blake.  She is also survived by her siblings: Larry Mausolf and his wife, Sharon, of Harbor Beach; Dave Mausolf and his wife, Marcia of Cyprus, Texas; Marlene Klee and her husband, Gordon of Harbor Beach and Lois Korbel and her husband, David of Harbor Beach; along with many nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Audrey Mausolf of Harbor Beach

 

Genevieve was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary and Dale; and her sister, Helen.

 

Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe with Fr. Rob Howe officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

 

Visitation for Genevieve will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.  on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel in Bad Axe.  A Scripture service will be at 7 p.m.   Visitation will also be at the church on Tuesday, July 10th from 10 a.m. until time of service.

 

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
