"Will" (Amy) Dempster; seven grandchildren: Jacob (Amanda) and Ethan Chartier, Wyatt, Colton, Ayden, Reid, and Liberty Dempster; her great-grandson: Owen Chartier; sister: Janice (Jeffrey) Berlin; two brothers: Jim and Tom (Sue) Narloch; sister-in-law: Nancy Snyder; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Bob Narloch.

   Arlene Dempster, age 76 years, died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Bay Comfort Care in Bay City.  She was born June 12, 1942 to the late Arthur and Irene (Krukowski) Narloch in Bay City and graduated from Bay City Central High School.  After attending Bay City Junior College, Arlene married William R. Dempster on May 11, 1963 and they worked together at Dempster Realty for over 25 years before she retired in 2000.  They shared their love for each other for over 52 years until Bill’s death on October 23, 2015.  Arlene was a vociferous reader who especially enjoyed the History of Mackinac Island. 

 

   She is survived by her two children:  Amy (John) Chartier, William N. “Will” (Amy) Dempster; seven grandchildren:  Jacob (Amanda) and Ethan Chartier, Wyatt, Colton, Ayden, Reid, and Liberty Dempster; her great-grandson:  Owen Chartier; sister: Janice (Jeffrey) Berlin; two brothers: Jim and Tom (Sue) Narloch; sister-in-law: Nancy Snyder; and several nieces and nephews.

 

   Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Bob Narloch.
