WELLER (GAUS), Janet Mary - of Saginaw, age 67, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Health Source in Saginaw. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11AM, Friday, August 17, 2018 at Christian Assembly Church, 401 E. Vermont Street, Bay City. Rev. Matt Place officiating. Family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 2PM until 8PM and on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the M.S. Foundation or Christian Assembly Church for their building fund.

Janet was born October 2, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William and Charlotte (Doan) Gaus Sr. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1968. Janet went on to obtain an Associates Degree in Nursing from Delta College in 1970. She married John Weller on October 20, 1973 in Bay City. Janet worked in pediatrics as a Registered Nurse for St. Luke's Hospital. She then worked in the neonatal unit for Saginaw General. Janet was also the director of nursing for Mid-Michigan Infusion Care. She was a life member of Christian Assembly Church in Bay City. Janet was also a member of the Saginaw Choral Society, Saginaw County Infant Mortality Coalition, American Red Cross, and was also the past minister of music at Christian Assembly Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, shopping, playing piano, and singing. More than anything, she loved spending time with family. Summarizing Janet's personality could be done in a few words, "to know her is to love her".

Surviving are: Husband, John; Sons: Aaron (Jamie) Weller and Andrew (Erica) Weller; Grandchildren: Nicolas Washenko, Ryan Weller, and Kyla Weller; Brother, Stephan (Mary Shore) Gaus; Sister, Leslie Causgrove, and grand-dog, Sophie. She was also preceded in death by a stillborn twin sister and her brother, William Gaus Jr. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tracy Johnson, Susie Oblander, and her husband, John for their compassionate care of Janet.
