Violet K. Bovee, 76 of Midland, died early Wednesday morning, August 8, 2018 at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born December 15, 1941 in Midland, daughter of the late Lawrence Coggins and Goldie (Sian) and step-father James Duke. The former Violet Coggins, married Eldon Bovee January 12, 1963 in Midland. Violet loved to do crafts, TriChem parties, Friendly Homes parties, gardening, scrapbooking, cookouts, spending time with her family, going to the farmer’s market, and of course shopping.

 

She is survived by her husband Eldon, three sons Randy Bovee of Midland, Dan (Peggie) Bovee of Midland, and David (Pam) Bovee of Pensacola, FL; two daughters Priscilla (Gary) Lacy of Beaverton and Lisa (Jay) Marks of Sanford; grandchildren Ana, Samantha, Jordan, Burton, Mike, Felicia aka Freddy, Michael, Daniel, Katie, Emmit, Clayton, Andrew, Brandy; and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and step father, Violet was preceded in death by brothers James Sian, Evan Sian, and Bill Vondrasek.

 

Funeral services for Violet will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Pastor Bob Allmann will officiate with burial to follow in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Violet’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the family through the care of her husband Eldon.
