Michael W. Tice, age 75 of Clare, passed away peacefully at the MidMichigan Medical Center of Midland on Thursday, August 9, 2018 with his family by his side.  Mike was born the son of the late Clarence and Doris (Bergey) Tice on November 2, 1942 at their family home in Loomis, MI.  On March 14, 1964, Mike was united in marriage to Judy Fetters and the two would go on to enjoy fifty-four years of marriage.  Other than a brief couple of years working at Fisher Body in Flint, Mike has always lived in the Clare/Loomis area.  In 2000, he retired from his power department supervisor position at Dow Corning after serving the company for thirty-five years.  Mike was a man of many passions that included competing (especially pitching) for many area fast pitch softball teams, hunting, and camping of all varieties from tent to motor home with his family.  He also loved to fish inland lakes when he had a smaller boat and eventually graduated to Lake Michigan when he had his 26’ Bayliner.  He never missed an opportunity to prove his handyman skills to his family with his capability to fix anything broken.

Mike is survived by his wife Judy, his daughters Rebecca (Ron) Mederski of Brighton, MI and Melissa Slater of Ft. Wayne, IN., and his four grandchildren Mitchell, Macy, Shane, and Sierra.  He is also survived by his sister Mary (Glenn) DeDolph of Fenton, MI., his brother Dan Tice of Loomis, and his brother-in-law Larry (Patsy) Fetters of Brownsville, TX.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Doris Tice, and his siblings Dave (Rose) Tice, Jon Tice, and Steve (Lana) Tice.
