Jeremy Michael Cross, 41 of Midland, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. He was born April 8, 1977 in Midland to Marie (Richmond) Cross and the late Dennis Cross. Jeremy lived in Midland his entire life and eventually began working for the City of Midland. On April 6, 2001, he married the former Angela Brandle. Jeremy was a simple man who never asked for anything. He would rather give to others, even the shirt off of his own back, than receive anything for himself. Jeremy was the most dependable man anyone could have possibly met. His work ethic showed in his job and he made sure to instill that quality in his children. Jeremy loved what he did and truly enjoyed working with his fellow associates. He was such a fun and loving character it was impossible not to like him. His idea of fun was riding his Harley to Daytona for Bike week with his wife Angie, or being outdoors camping, boating, and fishing, even though he usually never caught anything. More than anything, Jeremy was a family man. His father was his hero whom he learned much from. He took this wisdom and passed it on to his own children to leave a legacy that would last for generations to come. Jeremy will be greatly missed by all who knew him and those whose hearts he touched forever.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Angie Cross; sons Alex Cross (Kyah Desmarteaux) and Hunter Cross; daughters Breanna Cross (Jonathon Dorman) and Marteeka Cross; mother Marie Cross; brothers Andy “Bud” Cross and Cody Cross;  sisters Amy Cross (John Goss) and Sandy Banks; and grandmothers Rita Richmond and Evelyn Cross. Jeremy is also survived by his nieces and nephews Kyrstyn Johns, Destiny Goss, Nevaeh Goss, Lexi Thurston, Brayden Cross, Evelynn Clement, and one on the way; his best friends John and Sara Adams,  Bill and Margaret Oswald, as well as by many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father Dennis, he was preceded in death by his brother Scott Cross; and grandfathers Bill Richmond and Lyford Cross.

Memorial services for Jeremy will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2018 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider his family through the care of his wife Angie Cross to help benefit the future of his children.
