Bob, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.  Robert Mathew Glazier was born in Bay City, Michigan, on February 11, 1951, to Simon & Sylvia (Thompson) Glazier.  Bob served his country first with a tour with the US Army in Vietnam in 1971, he later joined the Army National Guard in 1987 to continue his service with the 1146th Engineer Detachment, 1432nd Engineer Company, and the 1460th Transportation Company.  Bob again served in wartime in the Iraqi War from April 2003 to May 2004 with the 1460th Transportation Company, Midland, Michigan.  Bob retired from the Armed Services with 30 years of service, he loved everything that Military Service stood for.  He was employed by Bay City Platers and then the Department of Defense until his retirement. Bob was a lifetime Member of the of the VFW Post 607, Rogers City, Michigan.

There was no one more important to him than his girlfriend and partner, Dolores Kerr, his one true love, whom he leaves behind.  They spent 30 years together building a home full of memories and happiness.  Dolores was always at his side through the happy and troubling times; and at the very end, his last breath.  Bob’s second love was his parrot Sunshine.

He shared his life with Dolores’s two sons, Danny (Debra), and David II, grandchildren Alexa, Kelsey, David III, and Chad; and great-grandson, Benjamin. Bob was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.  He leaves behind 4 sisters, 5 brothers, and their families.  From a previous marriage, Bob has 2 daughters and 1 son.

Memorial Service to celebrate Bob’s life will be at AMVETS, 901 Pine Street, Essexville, Michigan, Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 1 pm. Cremation was completed on September 10, 2018, per Bob’s wishes.
