Survived By: besides his wife Judy are his three sons; Fred Parrent, Paul Parrent and Terry Parrent, three grandsons; Tyler Parrent, Trevor Parrent and Eli Parrent and his great grandson, Wyitt Parrent. Also surviving is his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sue Parrent and his sister, Rose Woizeschke, all of Reese. In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by his brother, Joseph O. Parrent and his sister, Elaine Atkinson.
Affiliations: Fred was employed for over twenty-nine years as an Engineer with the C&O Railroad. He also farmed in the Reese area for many years. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Reese and enjoyed collecting older automobiles, camping with his family, and traveling.

Frederick P. Parrent, 85, of Reese, died Saturday morning, September 15, 2018 at the MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. He was born July 28, 1933 in Reese, son of the late Oliver and Lucretia (LaFond) Parrent. On September 29, 1962 he married the former Judy Oszust in Saginaw. She survives him. They would have celebrated fifty-six of marriage at the end of this month. Fred was employed for over twenty-nine years as an Engineer with the C&O Railroad. He also farmed in the Reese area for many years. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Reese and enjoyed collecting older automobiles, camping with his family, and traveling.

 

Surviving besides his wife Judy are his three sons; Fred Parrent, Paul Parrent and Terry Parrent, three grandsons; Tyler Parrent, Trevor Parrent and Eli Parrent and his great grandson, Wyitt Parrent. Also surviving is his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sue Parrent and his sister, Rose Woizeschke, all of Reese. In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by his brother, Joseph O. Parrent and his sister, Elaine Atkinson.

 

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will take place at 11 a. m. Friday, September 21, 2018 from the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Reese. Father George Serour will officiate with inurnment to take place later in the St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery.

 

Cremation and Memorial arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese.
