Survived By: Surviving is his wife Judith, five children: Paul (Shelly) Schulz, Craig (Julie) Schulz, Jill (Matt) Toporski, Kristin (James) Breiding and Craig (Amanda) Wilson, seven grandchildren: Kennedy, Tavin, Tyrese, Mattisyn, Cole, Leah, and Ava, one sister Geraldine, mothers-in-law, Jean Myers and Patricia Dzurka and sisters and brothers-in-law: Jackie DeLorge, Jane Adams, Jeff (Kathy) Dzurka, Jon (Von) Dzurka, Scott (Teri) Myers and Crystal (Neil) Gaeth, great family friends, Bear Frasik and Charlie Franzel and several nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by a sister Patsy Hoppe and his father-in-law Thomas Dzurka.
Affiliations: He was a Vietnam Era veteran and served his country with the US Marine Corps. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear Plant #4 in 1996 and was a member of the Union Local #699. Gary was a hardworking and great provider for his family. He loved to keep busy truck driving for various local farmers and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his best loyal companion, Frank.

     Our devoted family man passed away Thursday morning October 11, 2018 at his home, age 70.  Gary was born June 9, 1948 in Cass City, Michigan to the late Norman and Thelma (Weihl) Schulz.  He married Peggy Lee Myers and she predeceased him on April 28, 1989.  Gary later married Judith I. Dzurka on April 6, 1992 and she survives him.  He was a Vietnam Era veteran and served his country with the US Marine Corps.  He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear Plant #4 in 1996 and was a member of the Union Local #699.  Gary was a hardworking and great provider for his family.  He loved to keep busy truck driving for various local farmers and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his best loyal companion, Frank.

     Military Honors, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Honor Guard will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Squires Funeral Home, followed immediately by the Funeral Service and Rite of Committal for Gary.  Linda Studniarz will officiate the Funeral Service and Rite of Committal.  Interment will be in Columbia Township Cemetery in Unionville.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project.  www.squiresfuneralhome.com
