Survived By: her children and their spouses, Charles Weber of Vassar; Barbara and Melvin Rupprecht, of Richville and Pauline and Boyd Terry of Vassar; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Todd and Kim Rupprecht, John and Jill Weber, Matthew and Seema Terry, Adam and Devon Weber, Joshua and Abby Terry, Michael and Lindsay Weber and Michelle and Tom Alsobrook, seventeen great- grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons. Also surviving is her brother, Wilmar Bergdolt and wife Jean, two sisters, Lenore Poolket, and Ruth Bergdolt, sisters-in law, Lois Bergdolt, Bonnie Bergdolt, Carol Bergdolt, Betty Weber, brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Howard and Ione Weber and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Weber, 96, of Vassar, died Friday evening, October 12, 2018 in Vassar. She was born June 20, 1922 in Tuscola, daughter of the late Richard and Florence (Schiefer) Maurer and step-father, Michael Bergdolt. On November 24, 1945 she was married to Albert Weber in Frankenmuth. He predeceased her April 11, 2013. In her younger years, Dorothy was employed at Universal Engineering in Frankenmuth during WWII, and later was employed as a Baker, making pies and bread, at Mallory’s Restaurant in Richville. She was a member of the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville and it’s Ladies Aid. She was also a Charter Member of the Alvin F. Miller American Legion Post #400 Auxiliary in Richville

 In addition to her parents and step-father, Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter-in-law; Debra Weber, four brothers; Arnold Maurer, Paul Bergdolt, Raymond, Bergdolt, Norman Bergdolt, and two sisters; Erna Hutchison and Lorna Weiss.

 

Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 from St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville. Rev. Rob Gadeken and Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will both officiate with committal services to follow in the St. Michael’s Cemetery. Dorothy’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese on Wednesday from 2 -7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville
