Lee passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Covenant – Harrison in Saginaw. Age 88 years. He was born December 11, 1929 in Detroit to John David Wilson and Alice Marie (Cassidy) Lindsay. Lee served his country in the U.S. Air Corp during WWII and in the Ready Reserves USAF during the Korean Conflict. He married Marlene Ann Wend on August 20, 1955 in Angola, Indiana. She preceded him on February 28, 2015. Lee was a member of Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, American Legion Post 468, and Wolverine Sportsmen Club where he was secretary and vice-president. His activities included N.A.L.C Branch 74 where he was Sergent of Arms Steward, Vice President and President; N.A.R.F.E. Chapter 376 where he was Vice President and Service Officer; and N.A.R.F.E. Area 4, State of Michigan where he was Vice President. Lee retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 32 years as a letter carrier.


Surviving are his children and spouses, Russell (Char) Lindsay, Marlee (Scott) Steinke, Sandra Lindsay and Wayne (Karen) Lindsay; grandchildren, Amy (Mike) Bradford, Megan (Kevin) Dewar, Malorie (Tyler) Kime, Jonathan (Dayna) Katch, Chenille Nixon, Alexandrea, Jeremiah and Taylor Lindsay; great grandchildren Brayln, Jaina, Lily, Eleanor and extended family Lee Lindsay and Kent. He was preceded by his parents.


Funeral service will take place 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles with Military Honors to follow. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 12:00 (noon) to time of service. Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 468, St. Charles.
