BOULIS, Robert “Bob” – of Clio, age 86, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Covenant – Harrison in Saginaw. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Friday, November 9, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Fr. James McCarthy officiating. Burial to follow Tuesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 1PM until 8PM and on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Bob was born May 1, 1932 in Ashley, Michigan to the late Walter and Anna (Marzeck) Boulis. He married Ethel McDonald January 27, 1953 in Flushing, Michigan. Bob proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He obtained the rank of Tech Sergeant and earned a Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Campaign Stars. Bob retried from General Motors in 1999 with 40 years of seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #659. He was also a 22 year past president of the Flint Motorcycle Club. Bob always found ways to volunteer his time. He especially loved to coordinate the Big Brothers – Big Sisters of Greater Flint Ice Race every year. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing motorcycles, and working with his hands.

Surviving are: Wife, Ethel Boulis; Children: Merle Tenbusch, Rick (LeeAnn) Boulis, Cheryl (Robert) Miller, Christy Boulis, Robert (Lisa) Boulis, and Keith (Jennifer) Boulis; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; Brothers: Eugene Boulis, Hank Boulis, and Howard (Sylvia) Boulis; Sisters: Bernice (Jr) Brown, Beverly (Gary) Hildebrandt, Barb Stellmacher, and Bonnie (Jerry) Moody. He was also preceded in death by: Brothers: Louis, Merle, Howard Boulis, and stepmother, Ethyl Boulis.
