  Victoria B. Rys, age 98 years, passed away Wednesday morning, November 7, 2018 at Brian’s House. She was born to the late Thomas and Catherine (Krzyminski) Rys on October 11, 1920 in Bay City. Victoria was employed with Greyhound Foods for 19 years at the Bay City Chevrolet Cafeteria and was a member of the RWDS Union and its retirees. She was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church - Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. Victoria was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.  She enjoyed sewing, painting and listening to music.


  Victoria is survived by her son, Timothy Rys; grandson, Marc A. (Rebecca) Rys, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Carmen Rys and Marc A. Rys, Jr.; sister-in-law, Margot Rys; along with many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Victoria was preceded in death by six sisters and five brothers; Mary Charlebois, Ann Herley, Pauline Leppi, Josephine Rys, Theresa Rys, Bernadine Rys, Stanley, John, Michael, Thomas Jr., and Louis Rys.


  Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trahan Funeral Chapel.  Linda Studniarz will preside.  Private burial will take place at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.  Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel.  For on-line sentiments:
