Daniel Lee Ranger, Sr.
Whittemore, Michigan
DANIEL LEE RANGER, SR., of Whittemore, passed away peacefully at his home in Whittemore on December 21, 2010 among family and friends at the age of 69.
At work, he was known as “Red”, and to his family and friends as “Butchie” or “Pops”.
Dan was a lifelong resident of Whittemore and a U.S. Army Veteran. His favorite pastimes included the love of hunting, fishing, gardening with his tractor, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking rides in his slow-moving Toyota pick-up truck with his favorite dog companion, “Sassy”. Dan married Patricia Lapeer in 1962 and resided in Whittemore until his passing.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia and three children; Dan Ranger, Jr., daughter, Stacey (David) of Alaska and Jimmie Joe (Erin). Six grandchildren; Cristal, Christina, Danielle, Austin, Jake, Dalton and his step grandson, Joey. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Dan had many friends and family including five sisters; Shirley, Alice, Diane, Marsha, Roxanne and one brother, Wayne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
